About Butta B-Rocka
Oleathia “Butta B-Rocka” Robinson doesn’t fit in a box — and she never has.
A Telly Award-winning, Executive Producer, Director, Playwright, Screenwriter, and Actress, Butta earned her Telly for her work serving as the Music Supervisor on a project executive produced by comedy legend Katt Williams — a credential that speaks for itself. She is also the CEO and Founder of the BBR Indie Films Festival, a powerhouse in the independent film community.
Her reach is global. A Grammy-nominated featured artist and internationally top-charting recording artist and songwriter, Butta has lent her vocals to projects spanning pop, rock, gospel, country, and rap — performing background vocals, demo recordings, and stage appearances alongside international superstars including Janet Jackson, Akon, TLC, Kanye West, Usher, Nas, Collective Soul, Zac Brown, and Japanese icon Namie Amuro, among others.
From the US to the UK, Germany, Holland, Japan, Canada, Portugal, Chile, the Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico, Antigua, and throughout Africa — Butta's stage has truly been the world. She has performed for royalty and heads of state, including the Prime Minister of the Bahamas and the Moradeun royal family of Nigeria, and delivered headline performances at the Kentucky Derby, the BET Hip Hop Awards with Nas, and the City Gala alongside Les Brown, Randy Jackson, and Mario Lopez. She has shared stages with billionaire Bob Duggan at the 10X Grant Cardone Foundation, appeared as a guest panelist at the SAVE Summit alongside Gene Simmons and Mark Cuban, and performed at the LA2 — sharing the stage with Jack Black and Alyssa Milano — right before Dionne Warwick.
As a 3x Best-Selling Author and host of the Transparency Talks International Podcast — airing across six overseas stations and on iHeartRadio — Butta commands the page and the airwaves with the same authority she brings to every stage.
Her feature film “Finding the Perfect Guy” — which she executive produced, directed, wrote, and starred in — is now streaming on 26 platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Tubi, and YouTube TV. Her latest release, the contemporary gospel album "Thankful," is available now — a soul-stirring collection that blends Christian themes with R&B, soul, and hip-hop. To further amplify its message, Butta has created "Thankful: The Emotion Picture," a full visual companion film exploring gratitude and resilience, currently in production and set for release in 2027. She has also made television appearances on Family and Fiance (OWN Network), Monarch (FOX), the BET Hip Hop Awards, and has been recently cast in Atlanta Bosses and All The Queens Men on Paramount+.
Off stage, Butta is equally formidable. She is the CEO and Founder of the Artists Rock the MIC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit uniting artists across genres to support homeless college students — because she believes art has the power to give voice to those who have none.
She serves as Chapter Governor of The Recording Academy (Atlanta Chapter) and holds active membership in The Emmys, SESAC, BMI, Georgia Music, the Guild of Music Supervisors, and NARIP. She was inducted into the inaugural class of the Her Music Alliance and formerly served on the boards of the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (NABFEME) and Women in Film & Television (WIFTA).
Her accolades include the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award signed by President Biden, Female Artist of the Year at the Black I Am Awards, three consecutive years as Hottest Female Vocalist, the CARE Award, and the Innovator Award at the General Boss and Bossettas Platinum Awards. She has been recognized as one of the top four female R&B artists in Georgia by the GA Music Awards.
Butta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Marketing — both with honors — from Ashford University, where she served as the first Black President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Golden Key International Honor Society. She is a proud member of the Kaptivating Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Wherever her gifts take her, Butta B-Rocka shows up with purpose, passion, and an undeniable presence.
