One of the first fans of Flynnville Train is none other than Toby Keith. He heard a demo CD, saw them live - and took it immediately for his label Show Dog under contract. Although for the quartet during cooperation only 22 Place in the U.S. charts (and No. 49 in the country charts) jumped out, it became clear that the band has potential. That they would now equipped with a new contract, of course exploit. The new CD "Back On Track" is in any case the right template - with rustic, handcrafted pristine country and southern rock. Who Lynynrd Skynyrd, the Outlaws, the newly Kentucky Headhunters or Toby Keith will like, even on Flynnville Train find its favor. The band of brothers Brian and Brent Flynn does not pretend to be more than they really are. They see themselves as solid (country rock) and craftsmen rely on the proven virtues of the guild. These include solid grooves and precise riffs, strong melodies and lines of text that overwhelm anyone with an IQ above 80th Even with the opening track "High On The Mountain" stake out their territory frills - a hemdsärmeliger, Rescher Southern rockers. Four men, like many harmonies and a stomping, bone-dry cycle. More need not be for this kind of music, the more it should not be. The Flynn brothers and their cronies are, you can not say anything else, master of reduction. Their songs are restricted to the bare minimum. A good example of this is equal to the second song, "Home": riffs that can equally think of Molly Hatchet, ZZ Top and AC / DC, now need some no big Arrangement Klimbim. A glorification of humble country life during her childhood - - In this environment, the text looks really believable. But that the fleet of four men can consider other registers, makes "Do not Misunderstand Me" clearly. In the really rabid (Country) rockers they present the wild, rauhkehlige country rocker Gretchen Wilson as a duet partner. Truly, an explosive team that makes live also determines joy. Even if the song works brilliantly with the very special special guest, it remains the only guest appearance on the CD. That may be unfortunate, but that's not so bad really. Because the stocky, long-haired foursome has some good song ideas in the quiver. For example, the equal of America (Harmony-Vocals!), David Bowie ("Space Oddity") and 38 Special reminiscent of "Sandman". Or a tailor in the whole 60's style "On Our Way" or the smooth still more backward-looking, good-humored old-school rock 'n' rollers of "Tip A Can" (single release). Above all, it is the tight-Country Southern rockers who occasionally season with a portion of Blues. Songs like "Preachin 'to The Choir" or "Scratch Me Where I'm Itchin'". Like all heavy hitters, convince Flynnville Train in ballads compartment. "Friends of Sinners" goes to heart, and written by his friend, the Kentucky Headhunters, "The One You Love" comes straight to tears. Conclusion : Fried eggs, solid, no-frills country southern rock with one or the other 60s and ballads trip. Succeeded!
